The spirit

Where the Drôme looks across at the Ardèche

The house stands on Quai de la Bâtie, where the Rhône boatmen once moored. Opposite, Tournon-sur-Rhône and its castle. Behind, the Hermitage hill and its vines.

Renovated from top to bottom, it is a simple, comfortable holiday home with a large terrace in the shade of the plane trees. Drinks facing the river, dinner watching the barges go by.

Everything is on foot: the station, the Marc Seguin footbridge to Tournon, the Hermitage wine houses, Valrhona's Cité du Chocolat, the market, the ViaRhôna along the quay.
