The house stands on Quai de la Bâtie, where the Rhône boatmen once moored. Opposite, Tournon-sur-Rhône and its castle. Behind, the Hermitage hill and its vines.
Renovated from top to bottom, it is a simple, comfortable holiday home with a large terrace in the shade of the plane trees. Drinks facing the river, dinner watching the barges go by.
Everything is on foot: the station, the Marc Seguin footbridge to Tournon, the Hermitage wine houses, Valrhona's Cité du Chocolat, the market, the ViaRhôna along the quay.

La Batellerie sleeps up to 7: a king-size 180 × 200 bed on the first floor, a queen-size 160 × 200 bed and bunk beds on the second floor, plus an extra bed. Each floor has its own bathroom.
Does the house really have a view of the Rhône?
Yes. The house is in the front row on Quai de la Bâtie. The terrace, the living room and the first-floor bedroom look directly onto the river, the marina and, opposite, Tournon-sur-Rhône.
Can we come without a car?
Yes. Tain-l'Hermitage–Tournon station is 500 m away, six minutes on foot, on the Lyon–Valence–Avignon regional line. Valence TGV is 20 minutes away. Shops, cellars, restaurants and the Cité du Chocolat are all within walking distance.
