Cité du Chocolat

Valrhona's Cité du Chocolat

Valrhona has made its chocolate in Tain-l'Hermitage since 1922. The Cité du Chocolat, its discovery centre, is ten minutes' walk from the house. The ideal outing with children, or on a rainy day.

The visit

A tour to touch, smell and taste

The Cité du Chocolat offers an interactive tour of the history of the cocoa bean, how chocolate is made and the craft of pastry chefs and chocolatiers. Tastings punctuate the visit, and children have their own workshops.

The shop at the end of the tour sells the whole Valrhona range, including rare references. Pastry and chocolate workshops by reservation.

Open all year round, including Sundays. Check the day's opening hours on the official website, they vary with the season.
